Workshops at FayandKay’s studio

It’s been a long time since Fay Maxwell has presented our personalised workshops. But now at the new
premises she is presenting fresh approaches to the already popular workshops and offering those students who
are ready to experiment ways to think outside “The Box”when approaching tried and tested techniques.
Giving that contemporary appearance to ancient stitching formats. Embroidery has always been in a league of its
own and attempt to liken it to art haven’t always been successful. Calling it by new names such as textile art might
give it an up to the minute description but as many of us have seen pieces exhibited under this guise often have few
hand stitches and not a lot of over all style of and technique.

Come and experience techniques now being developed by Fay at the new Studio.
Simple direct methods that will build your confidence in your stitching enabling you to introduce these methods
to your own stitching practices. Many workshop titles will be familiar to you. But as many will know Fay does not
stand still for long and there are always new adventures to try.

Throughout the coming year we hope also to invite visiting tutors to give their own days full of learning and delight.

Workshops can be booked in group form, 6 minimum and 8 maximum. If these numbers do not suite please
phone to discuss other arrangements.
Times - 10am to 4pm But please arrive in good time to enabling setting up.

We provide coffee and tea and cold drinks through out the day but if you would like to book a
light lunch this can be arranged at a small cost prior to the day.

Bring your own sewing machines and equipment. But sewing machines can be reserved
but as we have only a few to offer, early booking would be advised.

Deposit of 50% the workshop cost will be required on initial booking, refundable only if two weeks notice
of cancellation is given.
